Business models on the web

Imagine a customisable generated web interface with a live connection to a STEM model running on a server.

The immediacy and modern appearance of an HTML 5 interface is combined with the structural benefits of a STEM model on the back end. A model may be connected in turn to a wide range of external data sources on the server, and it follows that any sensitive assumptions need never be accessible to the end user.

A model can be fixed in situ independent of the web interface if any design flaws emerge in that model after it has ‘gone live’. The days of waiting for an expensive user-interface update every time a trivial model bug is reported are over!
